Cast Iron Manhole Cover Process Control Technology: Melting and Control Methods
Before each package of molten iron undergoes spheroidization, the tapping temperature is checked once, with a control range of 1400–1500°C. After spheroidization is completed for each package of molten iron, the iron temperature is measured again, ensuring it remains above 1360°C.

Features of Heavy-Duty Ductile Iron Manhole Covers
Long lifespan: Corrosion-resistant, zero pollution, maintenance-free, and designed to last over 50 years. High load-bearing capacity: Outperforms other product types with superior strength, capable of handling significant pressure—and preventing safety hazards like fractures or vehicle drops.
How to ensure the high quality of ductile iron manhole covers
Manhole covers are essential products used in road construction and electrical work, designed to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles. Resin manhole covers have gained widespread adoption due to their exceptional features, such as superior anti-theft performance, high load-bearing capacity, and long service life. But how can we guarantee the high quality of ductile iron manhole covers?
Installation Precautions for Composite Manhole Covers
To ensure the proper functioning of composite manhole covers, it's important to pay attention to the quality of installation—making sure not only that the dimensions are accurate, but also that the cover is easy to open and maintains a clean, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Anti-sinking manhole cover
The new type of ductile iron anti-theft manhole cover is made from high-quality nodular cast iron pig iron, coke, and a specialized spheroidizing agent sourced exclusively from designated production facilities. The spheroidal graphite grade is carefully controlled within the 1st to 2nd level range, ensuring a refined appearance that closely matches the color of the asphalt pavement—allowing the concrete well ring to remain discreetly hidden beneath the surface. This design not only maintains seamless integration with the road surface but also enhances urban aesthetics by creating a unified, visually appealing landscape. In contrast, traditional gray cast iron manhole covers, with their dull, unrefined appearance and exposed concrete well rings protruding above the asphalt layer, often clash in both color and texture with the surrounding pavement. Moreover, achieving consistent flatness with these older models proves challenging, making it difficult to integrate them harmoniously into the overall road design—a key obstacle to enhancing the city’s visual appeal.
